In Our Community
The Laveen Leadership Academy is committed to ensuring positive school/community relationships. We believe strongly that quality schools are at the heart of a thriving community and community support is essential for the success of its schools. We accomplish this through:
Hosting Activities and Events
Laveen Leadership Academy opens our doors to community partners every day. Once a year we celebrate our success by hosting a Leadership Day. On this day, we invite our community partners and other valued guests to celebrate our success. In addition, our PTO hosts two carnivals a year.
Partnering with the Community
Laveen Leadership Academy partners with a number of local business and organizations in order to provide positive role models and opportunities for after school clubs. If you are interested in becoming one of our community partners please contact us at 602-237-9110.
Sock Drive
Laveen students conducted a sock drive to provide socks for the homeless at St. Mary’s Homeless Shelter.
Kidney Walk
Laveen School’s eighth grade Live Pure Kids group participated in the 2016 Kidney Walk at Chase Field. The 5k event reminded the students of the importance of taking care of their bodies and to appreciate those who might be suffering from disabilities. Live Pure Kids is an after-school wellness club which promotes healthy habits such as eating well, exercise, and caring for the environment.
