The Community Service Club at Laveen Elementary School held a canned drive for St. Mary’s Food Bank before break and collected over 2,000 cans and non-perishable food items. The Community Service Club is advised by 8th grade ELA teacher, Adrian Ruiz. This middle school club recently joined forces with the Laveen Kiwanis Club and will now be a “Kiwanis Builder Club.” As a new Builders Club, students will continue to develop self-awareness as they discover their passion to serve, their passion to lead and their ability to engage and collaborate with others. Laveen Elementary School thanks the Laveen Kiwanis Club for their continued support!
