Tanner Community Development Corporation Donates Mindfulness Supplies
Representatives from the Tanner Community Development Corporation recently visited Laveen School to learn more about their mindfulness program.
They were so impressed with the program, they coordinated a donation of furniture and mindfulness supplies for the school through their “Help Enrich African American Lives” (HEAAL) program. Representatives from HEAAL dropped off the items at Laveen. These items will be used to enhance existing healing rooms and also add a “satellite” mindfulness area to the library.

Laveen Curriculum Night Encourages Students to “Be a Reading Superhero!”
Laveen School hosted our “Be a Reading Superhero!” curriculum night. Parents and students reviewed district curriculum, watched demonstrations of online resources, participated in fun table activities, and learned about our mindful school signature program. All students received free superhero-themed books to take home with them. It was a great night!
Laveen’s Kids Club is Now Enrolling for Before/After School Program
Laveen’s Kids Club is now enrolling students in before/ after school care. This licensed program offers carefully planned, well-supervised activities for children in grades kindergarten through sixth.
Kids Club staff guides participants through group games, team sports, hands-on science activities, arts and crafts, music, drama, plus many other activities from which your child may choose. Each day includes quiet time for homework assistance and encouragement, plus a nutritious snack.
